AFFILIATE MARKETING - HOW TO ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY
Sure, we all want a website that makes us $4,000/week while we're out on the beach soaking up the sun and drinking iced tea. Has it happened for you yet? It can, with affiliate marketing and at least 1 years working on it. It doesn't just happen...YOU have to make it happen. I've been getting checks from Clickbank and Google Adsense for the last 2 months now, but it took about 7 months to start making about $100 - $150/mo from each. Yeah, it's no $4,000/mo, but I'm building on it. Meanwhile, my site pages are moving up on Google search and becoming more popular. If you looked at my blog closely, the amount of articles that I made went down Oct, Nov and Dec so that I could concentrate on my Etsy.com store AmazingUSAsales and eBay and make some spending money. I grossed about $3,200. Not a lot of pure profit, but my house and SUV are paid off, so I'm not hurting. I spend $0 on marketing.
I want to help you realize that there is money to be made, but don't quit your real job for a year or 2. There are others on the internet that say they make $50,000 to $100,000 in there first year, but if you really pay attention to what they do, it's a combination of 5 or 6 things, like "consulting" that they make a lot of their money from. Mine is a pure sit-in-my-chair-and-get-checks methodology. I don't make friends or guest blog to grow my following. It's all me. I'm not bragging (as you can see as my income results), but I'm saying you can make money blogging, affiliate marketing, ebay and etsy without consulting with others. (I'm very shy face-to-face or phone-to-phone).
You can't make money referring people to Clickbank, which is funny...an affiliate site that doesn't like affiliates itself. So, I don't make anything telling you about it nor even give you a clickable link to it, but I do recommend using Clickbank as 1 way to make money while you sleep. Choose stuff that's relavent to many people or hot niche products, you decide and experiment with different ones. I'd do a 2 month trial on each. If you see one making money, leave it and change the others until you get a good combination. A good combination doesn't last forever. You'll have to "update" your choices periodically to match what the fickle public is looking for now.
Google's Adsense was easy to set up (for me) and all you do is pepper your site with their code and wait for the money to be deposited in your account each month (they pay funny, on the 21st instead of the first). Start a blog and add different and interesting articles to it each week, as many as possible. It's like an investment...the more you put into it, the more your money can grow.
Don't concentrate on the money, concentrate on the content. Help people. Give people information and how to's, recipes or super travel content with great pictures and you'll be on your way.
